Student questions

What do I do for meals?

We will provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout our conference. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the conference.

What should I bring?

Students should come with a positive attitude, prepared to make new connections, and participate in our conference experience. All additional materials will be provided! If you would like to purchase additional snacks and beverages during the program, we recommend bringing cash.

Are there any special offers for parents or adults traveling with a group of students?

Yes! Groups of 5 or more students will receive one complimentary adult ticket (discount applied at checkout). We also have special student ticket pricing for groups.

If I attend FEEcon with a group of 5 or more students and receive a complimentary adult registration, and later apply and am accepted as a chaperone, will I still receive a reimbursement after FEEcon?

No, you must purchase an adult registration in order to be reimbursed for your registration.

If I am accepted as a chaperone and I use a discount code on my registration, how much will I receive as a reimbursement?

After the conference, you will receive a reimbursement for the full amount of your purchase. So, if your registration was $59, you will be reimbursed $59.

How should I dress?

We recommend that chaperones and their students dress comfortably. That being said, we recommend business casual attire. Please note that we will be taking photos throughout the conference (which will become available through our Facebook page after the event), so come picture ready!

What if I want to attend but only if the pandemic is under control?

We understand that we are experiencing unprecedented challenges related to COVID-19. We are prepared to be flexible with our cancellation policy should the pandemic persist through Summer 2021. If you have purchased a ticket for FEEcon 2021 but have a health-related concern due to COVID-19, please email seminars@fee.org with the subject line ‘FEEcon COVID-19 Concerns: YOUR NAME HERE’ so we can assist you. Please have the names and registrant numbers for each member of your party listed in the email. Please visit our COVID-19 plan for more information on our plan so far.

Parent/Teacher questions (NOT chaperones)

Am I allowed to observe sessions?

If room capacity (considering our COVID-19 restrictions) permits, yes.

Where do I drop my child off?

The right-hand lane of John Portman Blvd will be closed during the event for student drop-off and pick-up. There will be off-duty police officers managing the traffic. This is not a waiting area, it is for active drop-off and pick-up only.

Where do I park my car if I’m staying?

Whether you are parking simply to accompany your student into the building, or parking for the day, the parking options are the same. There are two parking decks at AmericasMart: the Building 2 garage and the Building 3 garage. Our event is in Building 2, but if you use the Building 3 garage the buildings are connected by bridges. There is excellent building signage and there will be custom event signage.
